The name of the orchid is Paphiopedilum Astro Boy (Makuli x rothschildianum). This is a rare lady slipper orchid but it is not a black orchid. The flowers of this lady slipper type orchid resemble Paphiopedilum St. Swithin but this orchid was definitely black.Dec 20, 2008
